Spring Market Recap and a Giveaway!

THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED.
Thanks to all of you who left a comment!
OK....I KNOW how late this is! The past month has been a whirlwind of orders, getting organized post-market, a Fabulous win by my beloved Dallas Mavericks (I am just coming down from the clouds on that one!), making the FINAL pass on my book manuscript (Yay!) and about a million other things.

Anyway, just in case any of you might still be interested (and I hope, hope, hope you are), here is a photo recap of spring market. I redesigned the booth this time and went all white for the backdrop. I LOVE how it made all of the samples jump right out at you! I also created a faux shop window at the front corner of the booth and to my surprise, it made the booth almost look circular....very cool! I also made some lovely felt birds to decorate the top of the booth....and I want to clip them all over my house now! I plan on doing this layout again for the fall, so if some of you missed the spring market, you will see yet another version of this design come October.

I thought it would be fun to change the dress forms out each day so everyone would have something new to see and also so the "girls" wouldn't get too bored. It was a lot of fun and there were many who came by each day just to see what the girls were wearing! That was most defnintely a hit!!

So, if you are still reading, I AM DOING A GIVEAWAY HERE! I will be giving out a pack of one each of the new patterns.....that's the Diane Kimono Dress, Betty June Dress, Rita Reversible Bag, and the Camilla Insulated Bag!!
I WILL CHOOSE 2 LUCKY WINNERS!!
(using the random number generator on random.org)

This giveaway starts NOW and will run until 11:59 PM CDT on Monday, June 20th for US residents only. All you have to do is leave a comment about how badly you need these little beauties!

I am so thrilled that so many of you have been following this blog and my Facebook page. I am getting really close to 1000 followers on Facebook! If you have an account and haven't "liked" my page yet, I would love it if you would! You can get to it over there on the right by clicking on my FB icon.

My brain is already hard at work on the new goodies for the fall release...there is going to be some great stuff!

I hope that wherever you are this weekend, you are staying cool and enjoying the "almost summer" season.....

Happy Sewing!

I would love to win these patterns. I am due with baby #3 in late August, and, like Andrea, am _sick_ of maternity clothes--and I just recently was able to set up a proper sewing room again, after 18 months with everything having to be in storage. I would LOVE to have some new pretties to sew up for after the baby--and, as a bonus, both of those dresses are ones that a mama can breastfeed in!

cjmama said...

I love the colors and fabrics you use. I like sewing clothes out of prints that people would think were "for quilting". :-) I have a lot of fun with the floral especially, so your combos look really good to me. I would like the try the Diane Kimono dress, though I'd put an insert into it since I don't wear necklines that low. It looks like it would comfortable and cool for Texas summers. :-)

Cadovius said...

Suffice it to say I'm probably your biggest fan, er, stalker sewing buddy and I'm STOKED about these patterns. The dresses are classy, timeless and appropriate for looking pretty while not showing the world your "goods." :-) I adore your fabric choices and I nearly go broke every time you come out with a pattern trying to master it. Keep putting out great books 'cause we all love 'em to bits!

I have done my reports, marked assignments and made two clocks as project samples. Its now me time and sewing time!!!!!
I got your comment on facebook and then realised this comp was for only the US. Being from down under does have its drawbacks:(

I adore your patterns. Have several and your book, too. I am so with you on the no pants summer... here in the south the temps have been 100 or so every day! Would love to have your new dress patterns!

I love your style and how well you put everything together. I recently purchased your book and camera bag pattern. Of course I just had to have the ruffler foot for my Bernina because the ruffle just makes your designs the best.

Your patterns are the best. How clever to have a pattern for an insulated bag.

I love your patterns and especially your use of fabrics. Wish I had your style when I was young enough to wear it. Now I am sewing for my grandgirls and loving the fun! Would make my day and theirs if I won the new patterns!

I love these patterns ( all of your patterns for that matter)! I am always in need of new skirt and dress patterns since that is all I wear. Would love to have them!

Thank you so much for helping me teach the girls in my life to sew. I am ordering your "Sew Serendipity" book for them one by one as their birthdays roll around. Your designs appeal to the wonderful women in their 20's and 30's in my family whom I've been teaching (as they do to me, and I might be just a bit older than that.) The pictures and descriptions are succint and excellent. Often I hear, "Oh! Now I get it!" Yay! Thank you again.
