Sew Serendipity Sewing Workbook!!

After a much anticipated wait, my newest book Sew Serendipity Sewing Workbook is FINALLY here! I am so excited to share some details about it here with you. It is a bit different from my first two books in that it is a collection of some of my favorite techniques with an easy-to-sew seasonal project to follow. It is the perfect companion to my other work.

The format will look very familiar to those of you who know my other books.  There are lots of pretty photos of the projects along with photographed techniques and my hand drawn illustrations. Because most of the projects are cut by suggestion, there is not a packet of pattern pieces included. For the projects that require an actual pattern piece, we have included a link to full size pdf patterns that you can conveniently print at home and be ready to go.

Designed as a workbook, there are several pages included throughout for you to record your own ideas and jot down any notes as you work your way through the different techniques and projects. There are questions at the end of each project designed for you to reflect on the particular technique showcased. I think it would be a great gift for anyone who loves to sew, from the beginner to the experienced sewer who is looking to expand on different techniques and ideas.

Some of the techniques included are: how to install an inset zipper, machine applique, working with color, choosing fabrics, hand embroidery, beading, working with fleece and wool fabrics, as well as tips to stay "on project" and keeping your sewing space organized.

Here are some photos of the projects from the book so you get an idea of what's inside:
